One of the best (there is certainly more) to ice cream is at Famous Oasis Ice Cream Parlor on 1832 Coronado Ave. This Ice Cream Parlor has mexican style fresh ice cream everyday. The best part is that he makes special ice cream that is all fruit and it feels like your eating the fruit itself. The ice cream maker has been able to capture the essence of a fruit and put it into an ice cream. When I went to Oasis, I ordered myself a walnut scoop and coffee scoop. The coffee is rich and it feels like it actually has coffee that will keep you up. Then you have the walnut ice cream that has chucks of walnut. This gives the ice cream a nutty and creamy taste to it. I do think it’s a bit pricy for two scoops, which comes out to be $2.20. But I do think having natural fresh ice cream is worth such a price. I also notice that you cant really smell ice cream because of being frozen. The thing is that 75% or so your taste comes from smell, so that means when you have this ice cream, all those flavors are hitting your taste buds and blowing your mind away. This is one of the best ice cream parlors in San Diego.
